David Zakrzewski, a sophomore at the 小蝌蚪APP and the corresponding secretary for the Epsilon Alpha Chapter of at USA, was chosen to receive the Davis Leadership Award. He attended Kappa Alpha Order's national conference, the Emerging Leaders Academy, which was recently held in Lexington, Va.

Zakrzewski, who is also a member of the Catholic Student Association and USA's College Republican Club, is excited about this national recognition.

"I am honored to receive this award,鈥 he said. 鈥淚 had an amazing experience, and I can't wait to share what I have learned with the men of my chapter."

The Davis Leadership Award was established in 2000 by Judge Don Davis and Dr. Beth Davis of Mobile to recognize young, potential leaders within the Kappa Alpha Order and Phi Mu collegiate chapters at South Alabama and to provide these persons with a leadership development educational opportunity.

鈥淲e are thrilled that David was selected to represent South Alabama and his chapter. Further, we thank Judge Davis and Dr. Davis for their continuing and loyal support of Kappa Alpha Order and South Alabama,鈥 said Kappa Alpha Order鈥檚 Executive Director Larry Stanton Wiese.

The Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order at USA is active in raising money and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, their national philanthropy. The members participated in a walk at Hank Aaron Stadium.

They also held a blood drive at the USA Student Center for their nationwide blood-drive program, Operation Crimson Gift.
