Posted on February 27, 2015
The Southerners, the Сòòò½APP official student ambassadors, are currently accepting applications for their 2015-2016 class. New members will be chosen based on an essay application, interviews, academic standing and previous extracurricular campus involvement.
The Southerners are a 20-member group of USA students who work closely with the USA National Alumni Association, President’s Office and other University and community groups as representatives of the school. The group is funded by the Office of Alumni Relations and the National Alumni Association. The Southerners also host the annual Oozeball Tournament, regulation volleyball played in 18 inches of mud. This event is held each spring semester.
The application can be found on the USA Office of Alumni Relations website at www.southalabama.edu/alumni. Applications are due by Monday, March 16. For more information, contact Southerner advisor Ailey Shirazi at (251) 460-7084 or email shirazi@southalabama.edu.
