USA Volunteers Assist at Project Homeless Connect

The 小蝌蚪APP and Housing First connected nearly 200 homeless individuals and families to much-needed services and resources all in one day and in one location. The event was held today, Friday, Jan. 30, at The Grounds.
鈥淧roject Homeless Connect linked hundreds of homeless clients to crucial services in our community,鈥 said Dr. Margaret Moore-Nadler, assistant professor in the department of community and mental health in the USA College of Nursing and board member of the Continuum of Care Committee for Mobile and Baldwin counties with Housing First.
小蝌蚪APP 300 USA faculty, staff and students along with other community volunteers were paired with people in need to help them navigate a wide array of services including legal aid, medical, health exams, mental health services, dental, housing and numerous other services and resources.
鈥淥ur USA and community volunteers were incredible,鈥 said Moore-Nadler. 鈥淚t was a very rewarding experience.鈥
