小蝌蚪APP to Offer Hospitality and Tourism Management Courses in Gulf Shores through Partnership with Faulkner State
Posted on September 26, 2014
The 小蝌蚪APP and the City of Gulf Shores have announced an agreement to offer USA courses at the Gulf Shores Cultural Center, paving the way for south Baldwin County students to earn an undergraduate degree from USA in Hospitality and Tourism Management. USA will begin offering the classes in January, when the University begins its 2015 spring semester.
The agreement aligns with the signing of an articulation agreement with Faulkner State Community College, providing a seamless transfer of credits from Faulkner State graduates who have an associate in applied science degree in Hospitality Management to USA in order to pursue a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
USA President Tony Waldrop welcomed the strengthening of collaborative affiliations among USA and its south Baldwin partners. 鈥淭his relationship with Faulkner State and Gulf Shores allows us to provide new, exciting opportunities for students in Baldwin County.鈥
Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft echoed this sentiment. 鈥淭his partnership represents a substantial step toward our goal of providing unprecedented educational opportunities for students in our community. USA鈥檚 Hospitality and Tourism Management program will offer local students the opportunity to receive a first-class education right here at home, while providing a much-needed skilled workforce to support our thriving tourism economy.鈥
USA began offering courses in Hospitality and Tourism Management this fall on its main campus in Mobile and at the Gulf Shores campus of Faulkner State Community College. The City of Gulf Shores Cultural Center is located at 19470 Oak Road West, Building D, in Gulf Shores.
Students interested in enrolling in USA鈥檚 Hospitality and Tourism Management program should contact Dr. Jenny Manders at (251) 460-6283, or jmanders@southalabama.edu. For more information about the program, visit .
