Posted on November 30, 2018
The 小蝌蚪APP department of music invites the community and surrounding areas to their annual holiday concert, with the theme 鈥淚t鈥檚 the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,鈥 at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at the USA Mitchell Center. There will be free admission and refreshments. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Solo and ensemble performances will be given by USA students and faculty, to include the University Concert Choir, Chorale, Wind Ensembles, Opera Theatre, Piano Duo, Clarinet Ensemble, Celtic Crue, Woodwind Quintet, Steel Band and Jaguar Marching Band.
鈥淚nstrumentalists and singers, in small and large ensembles, will perform a variety of music; some familiar, some fun, some simply beautiful,鈥 said Dr. Laura Moore, director of choral activities, music history and choral conducting. 鈥淎t the end of a busy semester of concerts, classes and hard work, it's fun to enjoy holiday music and lights, with cookies afterward. We hope that many members of the University family and the Mobile community will come join us.鈥
Free parking will be available in the Mitchell Center, Gamma, Humanities and Mitchell College of Business parking lots. Handicapped parking will be available in the Mitchell Center lot. The JagTran will provide round-trip transportation between parking lots and the Mitchell Center before and after the concert.
