Game On for USA Homecoming 2018
Posted on November 2, 2018

Students, alumni, faculty, staff and the Gulf Coast region can come celebrate and bring their competitive spirit for all things homecoming at the University of South Alabama with the theme, “Game On,” Nov. 3-10.
The homecoming activities will include interactive events, athletic and alumni activities, along with Fun Fest, and a comedy show at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Mitchell Center featuring DeRay Davis and Bruce Bruce. Davis stars in MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out” and hosts VH1’s “Hip Hop Squares.” Bruce is well known for hosting BET’s “Comic View.”
On Friday, Nov. 9, everyone is welcome to attend USA’s homecoming parade beginning at 6 p.m. and featuring the Jaguar Marching Band, student organizations and the 2018 homecoming court. The parade will start on USA South Drive, between the Whiddon Administration Building and Mitchell Center, and follow with the pep rally sponsored by the Student Government Association.
“Homecoming is a time where the students, alumni and the community can come together and see how far this university has come,” said SGA Homecoming Chair, Zoe Hightower. “I also think the theme will motivate students to get involved and look forward to the upcoming football game.”
Homecoming day on Saturday, Nov. 10, will feature the Jaguar football team against Louisiana-Monroe with kickoff at 4 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Stadium Gates open at 8 a.m and the Jaguar Prowl will occur two hours and 20 minutes before the kickoff game time. The South Alabama homecoming court will be presented at halftime.
