USA Administrator Named as Faculty at National Institute

Dr. Mike Wilkinson, assistant vice president in the Division of Student Affairs at the 小蝌蚪APP, has been chosen as a faculty member for 2024 New Professionals Institute.
The New Professionals Institute is the preeminent professional development opportunity for new student affairs professionals in the Southeastern United States with fewer than five years of experience. It is an intensive, interactive week of learning, sharing, networking, and professional and personal development.
Wilkinson is one of only eight individuals chosen.
鈥淏eing selected is a special opportunity for me to pour back into others, and I can鈥檛 wait to get started,鈥 Wilkinson said. 鈥淎s I reflect on this one-of-a-kind opportunity, I can鈥檛 help but think about my why. The reason why I work in student affairs is to help individuals, specifically our students, grow and develop as human beings. They are at a critical juncture in their lives and need positive role models. As an NPI Faculty member, I have the privilege to be able to mentor young student affairs professionals who will then turn around and pour into students on their respective campuses, ultimately changing lives.鈥
Wilkinson has been an active member in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators in Region III and the Southern Association for College Student Affairs, which co-sponsor the New Professionals Institute. He recently served as the Region III professional programs chair.
Wilkinson said he is 鈥渇ired up鈥 about representing South this summer at the New Professionals Institute.
