小蝌蚪APP Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs and Title IX Director Dr. Krista Harrell wants people to know about the important role the division of student affairs plays in students鈥� lives.

鈥淲e are committed to providing services and creating a supportive campus environment which fosters engagement, academic success, a sense of belonging and personal development within a diverse community of learners,鈥� Harrell said. 鈥淎s a full partner in the educational process, our staff are innovative practitioners who are leaders in student engagement, fostering dynamic and diverse communities that stimulate development and inspire students to positively impact society.鈥�

Harrell recently gifted $10,000 to name a room in the Student Center to honor its former director, Rachael Bolden, and recognize her 11 years of service.

鈥淚t鈥檚 nice to see all of my accomplishments and hard work appreciated at the Student Center,鈥� Bolden said. 鈥淪tudent Affairs and the Student Center are important. You come to college for academics, but the things you remember the most are the experiences and the friendships. They鈥檙e what makes college memorable.鈥�

In addition of honoring Bolden, Harrell hopes her donation will inspire others to give and call attention to supporting Student Affairs and the development opportunities it provides. 

鈥淚 want to continue to create programs that continue to engage our students in dialogue that helps them process issues relevant to their experiences,鈥� she said.
