Online bachelor鈥檚 programs at the 小蝌蚪APP, along with its online master鈥檚 program in nursing, both ranked among the best nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 2025 Best Online Programs ranking.
South鈥瞫 online programs are among more than 1,800 surveyed by U.S. News. Only accredited institutions whose programs are offered mostly or entirely online were evaluated.
鈥淭hese rankings are reflective of the University鈥檚 commitment to providing flexible, high-quality education, and we are committed to providing more options in the future,鈥 said Dr. Andi Kent, executive vice president and provost.
U.S. News & World Report has been publishing education rankings for more than 40 years. The national rankings evaluate nearly 1,500 colleges and universities using up to 17 measures of academic quality.
鈥淭he online Master of Science in Nursing gives students the opportunity to complete a graduate degree with a concentration in a specialty area while managing a nursing career and family responsibilities, said Dr. Heather Hall, dean of the College of Nursing. 鈥淪tudents can select from 14 different specialty options and an additional nine subspecialties, and we are proud to have more than 7,700 graduates from our master's degree program serving communities along the Gulf Coast, across the United States and throughout the world.鈥
Earning a degree online provides options that some students need based on their location and work schedule. With the ability to take classes anywhere with access to programs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, online options are becoming more popular for both bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 work. In addition, South also provides supportive academic advising for online students.
