Black Alumni Society

Members of the Black Alumni Society tailgating.

Greetings, Fellow USA Alumni and Friends,

Welcome to the Black Alumni Society (BAS) website! The Black Alumni Society is a community that has grown since its founding in 2018. In just a few short years, we have built a network of alumni that includes educators, lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, nurses, politicians, first responders, authors, engineers, artists, athletes, and professionals from many career fields. Our collective achievements are a testament to the strength of our community, and we are excited about the future of the Сòòò½APP and the Black Alumni Society. Together, we continue to expand our impact, fostering connections that will empower current and future Black USA students.

The Black Alumni Society's vision is to:

  • Encourage USA Black Alumni to support the goals and mission of the University of South Alabama.
  • To increase black student engagement through communication, outreach, networking, education, and events to serve as a voice for USA Black Alumni.
  • To serve as professional mentors to future and current black students and alumni.
  • To promote scholarship assistance to black students and guide them to successful degree completion.

Our legacy of academic excellence, leadership, and service will continue, but we were hoping you could strengthen this legacy by joining the BAS. As USA graduates, we can build a powerful network across diverse fields—whether in education, law, medicine, entrepreneurship, politics, public service, or the sciences. Together, we can uplift one another, share our knowledge, and create opportunities for current and future Black USA students.

As USA graduates, our shared history is one of perseverance, achievements, and progress. As we honor those who came before us, we establish new paths for those who will come after us. By bridging the past with the present, we ensure that the mission of the BAS is passed down to the next generation of USA Black scholars.

Now, more than ever, we, as USA alumni, have the power to shape the future. By fostering mentorship and collaboration, we can provide the support and guidance that students need to thrive in an ever-evolving world. Let us unite, continue the tradition of excellence, and empower those who follow in our footsteps to make their mark. Together, we are stronger. Together, we are unstoppable.
